A hollow sleeve or bush B is fixed to the shaft C and acts as a reservoir for the lubricant. The sleeve is fitted within the boss D and is secured in position by means of collars E or flanges F fixed in place by screws G. Holes H in the bush conduct the lubricant to the bearing À surface. Where the shaft C is stationary, two or three holes in the bottom of the bush and one on the top are preferably provided, and in the case of a revolving shaft, two or three holes are provided for each quarter of the bearing. The boss D or bearing has a plug hole K for the purpose of supplying lubricant to the sleeve D.
