Facing bricks and tiles.-Facing- tiles for rough walls built of waste bricks, masonry, wood, or other material, are made e with an exposed face B of the same size as an ordinary brick, half, quarter, or end of a brick, and a sloping body A, which may be perforated to receive nails or pegs, and may be recessed to key with cement. The back D of the tile is parallel to the face, the bedding-face B<1> may slope downward to carry off moisture, and the joints may be pointed with cement. Corner tiles are made of angular shape, so that there are no joints at the angles of the building. The faces of the tiles may be glazed, coloured, or treated to represent different kinds of bricks.
