Lift valves; regu l a t i n g discharge from valves and cocks.-In lubrica- tors, a gland F screws into the upper part of the socket D which forms a stuffing- box for a spring- controlled needle valve G for regu- lating the feed. A cap J, fixed to the valve G, has the underside shaped to form an inclined plane provided with notches for engage- ing a pin f on the gland, and serves to adjust the position of the valve.
