Desks; tables; school desks.-Relates to school and other desks or tables which have their tops hinged so as to be capable of taking up two positions at different inclinations. One part d of the hinge is made in one with the bracket a, which is fixed to the book ledge or frame of the desk, while the other part f has an arm g which can be secured to the top. A pin k on one part engages a slot i in the other part to form a stop when the desk top is in either of its positions. The slot i may be covered by a projection j, to prevent the trapping of fingers. The whole hinge is designed to prevent children from trapping their fingers.
