Normally the tyre is inflated through the valve C, Fig. 4, from which the air passes along a channel F formed between the air tube A and a solutioned rubber strip E, and thence through the hole G into the air tube a. In case of puncture the tyre is inflated through a second valve D, Fig. 5, the air from which forces the loose part a<2> of the air tube a against the tread of the tyre, and so forms an inflatable chamber.
