In the machine for cutting the pockets in pulley stiles, Fig. 7, a bracket R carrying a small circular saw P is bolted on the slide E. The saw P is used for cutting-out the ends of the pockets, the sides being cut out by a larger saw Y mounted on the axis B. To bring it in contact with the saw Y, the stile is raised at one end, being guided by the bracket W.
