Floors; ceilings.-A temporary centering for supporting the concrete is constructed of boards resting on wood ribs secured by central nails to metal plates which rest on the lower flanges of the joists as shown in Fig. 1. The ceiling is constructed of plaster sheets cast about woven wire centres. These sheets are wired, or secured to iron bars laid on the lower flanges of the joists, as shown in Fig. 4, and the under surface of the ceiling is plastered. Solid fireproof floors are constructed in the same manner.
