Siphons.-Siphons 4 with uniform but adjustable flow for drawing off or decanting liquids are mounted on a float 2, and are provided with a tap 6 with a pointer attached. The float 2 works over guide-rods 3 in the chamber 31 to which the liquid is admitted from the supply pipes through the chambers 14, 16, 22, 22 separated by perforated partitions. A float 18 in the chamber 16 controls the valve 12 in the supply pipe, and another float in the chamber 22 releases a spring-actuated gong 25 when the supply of liquid fails.
