Oct. 10 Metallic wheels; axle-boxes; felloes or rims; hubs; spokes; tyres, elastic other than pneumatic.- The wheels are stamped up from circular metal blanks, as shown in Figs. 13, 15, the arms being of U -section as in Fig. 11, and the plate cut out between them. The hub consists of a pair of cylinders T<3>, T<6> bolted to the flanged centre of the wheel as shown in Fig. 9. The inner cylinder has a projecting screwed part to receive the cap. Steel sleeves T<1> and T<3> are fitted on the axle and in the hub respectively, and between them rollers T<2> are placed. A packing-ring T<9> is secured by a ring T<10> screwed into the cylinder N. The end of the axle is reduced to receive a thrust box secured by nuts. The rim is flanged at n<1>, and has holted to it, at the other side, a flange between which three tyre rings are secured by wires u<7>.
