Abstract

Rackets.-A tennis or like racket comprises an outer frame and a rigid auxiliary frame which carries the whole of the stringing and is removably attached to the outer frame. The auxiliary frame 3 is formed of metal, and as shown in Fig. 1 may be attached to a metal outer frame 1 of U-section by pins 6 which pass through slots 2 in the frame 1 and are provided with wing- nuts 7. In a modification, Fig. 3, the outer frame is forked and the auxiliary frame is held in position between the two parts 11 of the fork by a screw 12. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the auxiliary frame is screwed directly to the outer frame. The stringing 4 may be of gut or metal wire.
