26,068. Siemens Bros. & Co., [Siemens & Halske Aktiengesellschaft]. Dec. 9. Incandescent lamps.-Holders for screw-capped lamps are constructed without screws for holding the parts together. The central contact C is carried on a metal plate, cut and bent to the form shown in Fig. 5, and provided with a binding-screw S for a connecting-wire. This metal piece is held between two glass plates G, formed as shown in Fig. 3, and the body thus made up is passed laterally into an open cylindrical case H, Fig. 2, four lugs l on this being previously bent outward. The body is then pushed down in the case, and the lugs l are turned inward above the ends V of the glass plates, as shown in Fig. 2. The case is provided with a binding-screw for the other connecting- wire.
