Fig. 1 shows the invention applied to a bottom bracket. The adjusting-cup B' is locked by the ring or nut D screwing into the same threads in the barrel as the cup does. A washer E, prevented from turning by a lug fitting in a slot in the barrel, is interposed between the cup and locking-ring.
