Abstract

30,733. Murray, W. A. Dec. 29. Handles; handlebars. - Relates to adjustable handles and handle - bars. The handle-bar A may be made of pieces of straight tubing joined at the corners as shown in Fig. 1, or may be bent to any desired shape. The handle-bar is connected to the top of the steering-post B by means of a clamping- socket B<1> and bolt B<2> so that it may be rotated. The grip portion C of the handle is fitted upon a tube D which is provided with a split socket D<1> and clamping-bolts whereby it may be secured in any desired position upon the dropped ends A' or other part of the handle-bar. In some cases, an adjusting-joint is provided between the grip C and the split socket D<1>. A stop A<2> is attached to each of the dropped ends A<1> to retain the handle upon the bar.
