Bedsteads ; mattresses.-The end bars of a mattress frame are connected by bolts to forked or slotted brackets having projecting arms w turned at right-angles at A, A<1>. The brackets are slipped on the end bars of the bedstead, ship's berth, &c., the parts A, A<1> projecting over and under the corner block D. The object of the brackets is to transfer the twist stress to the corner block. The parts A, A' may project over the dovetail joint so as to lock it.
