Bed-rests.-In a headrest, adapted to lie flat on the bed when not in use, the side bars A are curved at a<1> to fit over the wool or other mattress, and the rest is pivoted to the bedstead at a<2> and supported by notched struts B joined by one or more bars b<1>. In a modification, the rest is supported by hooks J engaging the head frame of the bedstead, and the lower portion may either rest on the frame of the mattress or bedstead, in which case the rest is entirely detachable, or pivoted to the side bars.
