Abstract

Rollers or cylinders, hollow.-The usual spiral water collector of a steam-drying cylinder is formed with a side 5, Fig. 1, to retain the water, or the collector is formed with two sides as shown in Fig. 6. The side 5 may be curved or of rightangled shape, and inclined either towards or away from the side 1. Figs. 8, 9, and 10 show modified forms of collectors, that shown in Fig. 9 comprising two superposed collecting channels.
