The levers are actuated by links c connecting them to a cross-piece d secured to the brake-rod C. A spring e presses the brake out of action. The plate B is formed with a slot b, which is adjustably secured to the steering-post by a bolt G and curved pieces H. A piece I to carry the mud guard may be secured on the bolt G. The slot in the plate B enables the brake to be adjusted vertically.
