23,184. Walsh, J. Oct. 9. Sash fastenings.-An eccentric 5 is pivoted at 4 in a bracket 2 on the lower sash rail 3. The eccentric has an operating-handle 6 and a strap 7, the latter having a hook 8 which, in the locked position shown, engages a loop 10 on the upper sash rail. The hook is engaged or disengaged by turning the eccentric, and the latter may be turned to force the hook tightly against the loop, drawing the sashes together to prevent rattling, draught, or opening by a knife &c.
