Abstract
20,645. Wolf, J. O. de. Sept. 8. Hose, connecting to other articles.-c is a ring provided with arms c' of triangular section, the outside faces of which are finished flat, the third face being concaved to fit the hose b. The ring having been applied to the hose, as shown in Fig. 4, a ferrule a is pushed into it, The ring c and a flange a' on the ferrule are cut away so as to enable one to pass the other, and form a bayonet-joint when turned. The ferrule carries a coupling-nut f. The hose is clamped round the ferrule by bands d, which are shaped so as to fit against the arms c<2>, and are bolted together. The arms c<2> are further secured by fitting them with lugs c<3> which engage with the bands d.
