Abstract
13,039. Cartwright, A. S. May 27. Riding, special appliances for teaching.-A bar or plate a has a handle b at one end, and at the other end a hook-shaped jaw a' adapted to embrace one member c' of the back stays of a bicycle. A similar jaw d' adapted to embrace the stay c' is adjustably fixed to the plate a by means of a bolt e carried by the jaw passing through a slot d<2> in the plate a and secured by a wing nut g. The handle may be jointed to the plate a, to allow it to take up any angular position, in which case it may be locked in position by a bolt and nut or other means. The clips are lined with suitable material. A band clip, or double and separate clips, may be used to embrace the seat pillar or other members. A doublehandled clip is also shown in which both the jaws are adjustable, and the clip may also embrace the seat tube. The handle or handles may be hinged so as to fold up.
