Lateral-splash guards for vehicle wheels comprise an upright bracket B attached to the axle A and having two downwardly-projecting arms, the lower ends of which are secured to two horizontal studs S, to the outer ends of which is detachably secured a flexible splash guard G, no springs being employed. In the case of a front steering- wheel, the bracket B is also connected to the steering-rod by an extra bracket and clamp.
