Abstract

Stands and upright supports; stand heads.- A display stand comprises a pillar a supported on a base b and having a supporting plate c hinged to the top, the pillar having a series of teeth 9 cut therein adapted to be selectively engaged by the free end e<1> of a strut e hingedly connected to the supporting plate c at b, the metal plates h at each side of the teeth g preventing displacement of the strut. The plate c may be shaped in plan to correspond with the shape of a human foot and carved to represent the toes. In a modification two supporting plates may be arranged side by side or a single large plate may be shaped and carved to serve as a support by a pair of boots &c.
