Abstract

Casings. - Dynamo-electric machines are provided with end shields for the magnet yokes such that one pair of end shields may be employed with any one of a plurality of magnet yokes of varying sizes. Figs. 1 and 2 show a flanged end shield a applied to magnet yokes c, d, while for an intermediate size of yoke annular recesses may be provided, the end shields being clamped by belts passing through the machine.
