Printing and embossing surfaces.-A process for producing printed tickets, consists in printing the tickets in a printing-machine in sheet form in positions which exactly correspond with the positions of a number of cutters in a cutting-machine, and then cutting the tickets simultaneously in the cutting-machine. Means for carrying out the method comprise a number of tubular cutters b secured to a cross-head d. A sheet of zinc e is marked by the cutters and separate tickets pasted in each impression. The sheet is then photographed and a printing-block prepared. A bedplate is formed by covering each of the tickets on the marked zinc sheet e with a small zinc plate f, the separate plates being packed up with paper liners to correct any unevenness. The cutters can be slid beneath a ticket-ejecting apparatus l, i, k.
