Abstract

184,112. O'Rourke, T. F. Dec. 6, 1921 Windows, preventing condensation on. - A. weather-screen attachment for the front windscreen of an automobile &c. to protect the windscreen from obscuring rain or sun glare comprises a curtain 13 wound on a spring roller 12 carried on connected brackets 11 which are slidably adjustable on standards 10 secured to the windscreen or body of the vehicle. The declination of the curtain is adjusted by wing-nuts 23 clamping the hinged folding arms 16 at the desired angle. The framework of the curtain is arranged to fold to a horizontal position when not required, about the vertical hinged joints 19 and 171, the rod 14 to which the free end of the curtain is fixed swivelling in sockets 15 attached to the outer ends of the arms 16. Means, such as a sliding bolt on the one arm engaging a socket on the other, are provided to lock the arms 16 in the ' in-use " position.
