405,082. Hinges. AUSTER, Ltd., and DAVY, J. F., 174, Barford Street, Birmingham. Nov. 11, 1932, No. 31879. [Class 65 (ii).] An angularly adjustable visor 1 of tinted glass &c., having a curved upper edge conforming with the curved upper edge of the windscreen or top of the vehicle body, is pivoted at its ends at points between its upper and lower edges to side brackets 4 secured to and extending outwardly from the vehicle body. A trunnion-pin 6 extending from a lug 5 on each end of the visor frame 2 passes through a hole 7 in the bracket 4 and in a toothed annular boss 9 fixed thereto, the pin non-rotatably but slidably supporting a similarly toothed washer 12 adapted to be forced by a wing-nut 15 against spring-pressure to engage the boss 9. Other locking means (not described) may be used to fix the visor in position.
