183,345. Stott, J. E., and Cuppleditch, C. D. July 1, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Vehicle fittings and attachments. - An electrically - driven truck for carrying a cask or barrel is provided with pivoted chocks 4 and pivoted skids 14, held normally in the position shown by a helical spring on the spindle 15 for receiving and transporting the load, and capable of being depressed by a pedal 22 until the chocks 4 form a continuation of the inclined supports 1, 2 and the skids are turned down, so that the cask rolls off the truck under the control of the spring. The connecting-mechanism between the chocks and the skids includes toggle-levers 6, 7 arranged so that the weight of the load locks the gear in the position shown. When the lever 22 is fully depressed, toggle levers 24, 25 lock the gear in the unloading position until released by the driver.
