182,745. Vaughan, W. H., and Wood, F. May 3, 1922. Chain stops and holders. - A stapleshaped detachable pin a can be inserted in a framing to engage and stop a chain as shown. When not in use the staple hangs from the framing by a small chain. In some cases a single pin can be inserted through one of the links in the chain or used in the dotted position to coact with a cross frame member a' in arresting the chain. In other cases a single pin may jam the links against a frame member such as a', or may be used in one of the positions a to engage one side of the chain only.
