Crates of skeleton formation.-A crate for a carboy hamper H comprises two or more hoops B, B<1> of approximately equal diameter connected by approximately vertical uprights C and intermediate inwardly sloping members D which follow the contour of the hamper and are secured to and held in position by a ring E of slightly larger diameter than the base of the hamper and disposed slightly above the bottom of the crate. The bottom of the crate is formed of two or three cross members G convex on the upper side. Some or all of the members of the crate may be flat or channel-shaped in cross-section.
