Incandescent gas burners.- A hit-and-miss air-regulator for incandescent gas and like burners is provided with inlets adapted to control a corresponding number of inlets in the mixing-chamber, the inlets in one of the parts co-operating with angled parts of the inlets in the other part for effecting a gradual cut-off. In one form, a sleeve c is provided with square or rectangular openings d to open or close gradually diamond-shaped holes a in the wall of a mixing-chamber b. Secondary air-inlet holes e in the sleeve c may be provided to register with corresponding holes f in the wall of the mixing-chamber when the main holes a are closed.
