Strainers for kitchen use.-A colander is provided with a rim b<2> which fits over the beaded rim of a saucepan a and with a handle b<4> which lies substantially parallel to the saucepan handle a<2> so that the two articles can be manipulated with one hand. The saucepan handle a<2> has outwardly convex surfaces a<3>, a<4>, and the colander handle b<4> is twisted so that the portion b' is downwardly convex and the portion b<6> is upwardly convex. The portion b' is normally slightly separated from the handle a<2> and is pressed, by the hand, into flexible contact therewith. A hole b<9> is provided in the colander handle.
