Abstract
178,907. Woolgar, E. W. Jan. 20,1921. Pneumatic conveyers and elevators.-Material is delivered by a pneumatic conveyer or elevator to a chamber a containing a. two-compartment tipping discharger c which delivers to one or the other of two auxiliary chambers e, f, each having means whereby it may be placed in communication alternately with the source of pressure &c. and the atmosphere. The inlet g and outlet h of each chamber e, f are provided with valves i which are actuated from the tipping.discharger c by a lever l and links n. A pin-and-slot connection, or other lost-motion device, is provided between each valve and link in order that the inlet and outlet valves of each chamber shall not be open together. The valve p on the suction pipe is also actuated from the lever l by links n. (For Fig. 2 see next page.)
