Abstract
178,292. Jessop & Sons, Ltd., W., Lantsberry, F. C. A. H., and Nesbitt, C. T. March 17, 1921. Cores and fillings.-In rolling hollow metal rods or bars from a hollow ingot, a core is used consisting of a solid rod 1 held by bushes 3 and surrounded by sand or crushed coke 4. After rolling, the rod 1, which is extended along with the ingot, is forcibly pulled out by a wiredrawing or other machine, which operation also effectively loosens the sand. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 177,872.
