Abstract
178,172. Hapgood, C. H. Jan. 4, 1921. Drawings to Specification. Drilling.-A connecting-rod is brought to a standard weight and position of centre of gravity by the attachment of a makeweight. A jib of the same weight as the make makeweight is moved along the connecting-rod while supported in a balancing apparatus. When the pionter of the balancing apparatus points to zero, the jig is secured to the connecting rod and holes for the attachment of the makeweight are drilled in the rod.
