Abstract

178,052. Schonfield, W. March 31, 1921. Pivoted - window opening and closing apparatus. - In apparatus for raising and lowering skylights &c, as described in Specifications 815/13 and 11952/14, the nut 15 that actuates the screwed rod 12 attached to the sash is pivoted to a bracket 17 on the frame and carries a bracket 18. The bracket 18 has a bevel 19 and operating-handle 21 and a second bevel gearing with the bevel 18 is slidably keyed to the rod 12. A long handle may be used for windows out of reach.
