Abstract

177,599. Lines, W. Dec. 29, 1920. Mechanical and like toys.-A collapsable barrow, which may be constructed as a toy, has one part comprising the shafts 1 united by a base 2 and carrying a wheel 14, provided with metal loop fittings 5, 6, under which the extended ends of the sides 7 may be fitted, the fittings 6 being hinged and held to the sides by pins 10. The sides 7 are slotted at 7<a>, Fig. 4, to receive projections on the ends 8, 9 and at 7d to receive undercut projections thereon. The legs 11 are pivotally mounted on extensions of the fittings 6 and are adapted to be collapsed on release of a bolt 13 normally holding the middle of a U-shaped member 12 the ends of which are pivoted to the legs. The locking of the legs thus holds the parts of the body in their assembled positions.
