Abstract

177,194. Kay, J. R. Oct. 20, 1920. Syringes.-The holder 2 for the needle 3 of a hypodermic syringe is split longitudinally and is provided at 5 with an external screw-thread for engagement with an internal screw-thread 9 on a conical ferrule 8 which covers practically the whole length of the split holder. Inclined co acting faces 6, 10 on the ferrule and split holder are provided to take up wear in the screwthreads. The holder may be formed by sweating the halves together, internally and externally threading and boring, and then slitting along the sweated edges.
