Abstract
174,812. Clarke, E. Nov. 30, 1920. Sock suspenders; garters.-A flexible spiral spring a, Fig. 5, is loosely enclosed in a tubular sheath b of silk or like fabric, and is capable of stretching to the limited extent allowed by the sheath. To form an armlet or garter, the spring may be coupled by means of the fastener c, Fig. 4, which is fused inside the spring with its bifurcated ends engaging between the coils of the spring. In the sock-suspender shown in Fig. 6, the spring and sheath are each attached to the leg band and to the clip e.
