Closing envelopes; labelling and stampapplying.-A device for moistening and sealing envelopes, or for affixing labels, stamps, &c. comprises a moistening-roller d carried on a frame b' provided with a handle c and a resilient roller g carried on a second frame e pivoted to the frame b<1> and provided with a stop f, so that the device may be used in the position shown in Fig. 1 for moistening, and in the position shown in Fig. 2 for pressing down the flap of the envelope label &c. The roller d is hollow and perforated and is covered with an absorbent material l, Fig. 3. It is removably mounted in the frame b<1> and is provided at one end with a screw cap m for filling with water.
