Abstract

173,931. Eagan, J. J. Nov. 3, 1920. Concrete vessels. - Reinforcement for concrete vessels comprises transverse tubular ribs 9 and semi-tubular longitudinal shell members 8, in some of which are disposed tension cables 10 extending' from end to end of the vessel. Outside these members wire mesh is applied. Cross tubes 13,16 and vertical tubular columns 11, 15 support the several decks in conjunction with tubular bulkhead and deck reinforcement 17, 24. The keel and stem and stern posts comprise a central longitudinal tubular member 2, which may be in jointed parts having a tension cable extending through the centre.
