Abstract
172,914. Eschbach, W. Jan. 17, 1921, [Convention date]. Blasting-detonators.-A blasting-detonator d is subjected to pressure from above by a stamp b and at the same time to pressure from below by a stamp c, so shaped that a cavity or indentation e is formed in the base of the detonator. The detonator case may be of aluminium, copper or brass, and the charge may consist of trinitrotoluene or tetranitromethylaniline with a thin layer of loosely pressed nitro-body which is more easily detonated by lead azide of fulminate of mercury.
