Abstract

172,566. Greene, R. March 22, 1921. Roads and ways, arrangements of; wheel tracks.-Consists in forming triangular serrations along the abutting edges of adjacent hard and soft portions of road material extending longitudinally along a road surface, to prevent the formation of ruts. In the form shown, wheel tracks 1 of concrete &c. are laid in an ordinary roadway of gravel, macadam, &c., the edges of the tracks having triangular serrations 4 filled in with the material of the softer portions 2, 3 of the roadway.
