Abstract

Candles are prevented from adhering to the socket of the candle-holder by being coated with a preferably non-inflammable substance such as tin-foil, impregnated or coated paper, or a layer of asbestos or aluminium paint. The coating may be combined with or adapted to form a grease-catcher, and may be applied to the lower part only of the candle, or to its whole length. It may be perforated at intervals to permit the candle to be cut into short pieces. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 209/81, 1569/92, 17687/00 and 16132/05.
