TV i n d and like screens. - The open end of a metal tube of rectangular section or of a channel, such as the channelled sidemember of a windscreen frame, is closed by forming upon one side of the tube or upon the base a of the channel b, Fig. 5, a projection d bent at right - angles thereto, and applying a closurepiece, Fig. 6, comprising a portion E to form end wall, portions e to fold against the sides of the tube or channel, and tongues f which are adapted to fold upon the tube or the base of the channel behind the projection d to prevent removal of the closure member in an endlong direction, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. The closure member is prevented from being removed sideways in the direction of the arrow indicated in Fig. 5 either by extending the projection d beyond the end of the tube or channel as indicated at c so that it abuts against an edge of the portion E, or by forming additional tongues g, Fig. 6, upon the closure-member which are adapted to fold upon the edges of the channel or upon the side of the tube opposite to the projection d.
