Abstract

171,553. Richards, F. H. Sept. 10, 1920. Preventing unauthorized use of engine. - For the purpose of testing the ignition the lead E is electrically connected with the sparking plug through the medium of a spring plate H which has a hole at one end For engaging the terminal of the plug and a handle I of insulating material at the other. The end of the lead E is suppcrted by a plate B, preferably of aluminium, and is surrounded by an insulating bush D retained by the brass screw F which also makes contact with the strip H. For preventing unauthorized use of the engine the strip H may be rotated out of contact with the screw F, or may be removed entirely.
