Visual outdoor signals; wire and rod compensators.-A three position signal arm a is operated by two vertical rods g each moved by a cam-slot in horizontally sliding bars o connected to the signal wires by counterweighted levers x. The slots each comprise inactive horizontal portions u, t, joined by inclined portions s, and vertical portions v. These last are provided in order that the rod that is inactive in setting the signal may be moved freely.
