Abstract

169,338. Molins, W. E. July 20, 1920. Packeting cigarettes &c.-Relates to apparatus of the kind described in Specification 139,047, and consists in providing means for filling up certain of the transverse flutes in the cylinder rotating in the feed-hopper so that the cigarettes &c. are fed in groups. The cylinder 1 is provided with a peripheral groove in which an endless band 6 having dummy filling-members 7 travels, thereby dividing the cigarettes fed by the chain 3 into groups b. The apparatus may be used in conjunction with the conveyer described in Specification 13956/15.
