Abstract

169,262. Redler, A. June 21, 1920. Endless-belt push-plate or scraper conveyers; casings.-A conveyer ,for substances in a state of fine division comprises a series of links or the like forming a continuous chainlike open structure a which travels in a closed casing d, the link-work being of such dimensions and so constructed that it forms with the bottom stratum of the substance conveyed an improvised solid band supporting the remainder of the load when travelling over a surface without apertures. The upper run of the conveyer is supported by a platform i and guides h. Material delivered through the inlet e passes through the upper run of the conveyer and guides h on to the lower run of the conveyer and the bottom of the casing, and is conveyed to the discharge opening f. If the outlet f is choked, the material is discharged through the overflows k, k<1>, until these are blocked and the casing is filled, whereupon the inlet becomes choked and prevents further material from entering. The number and arrangement of the inlets, outlets and intermediate apertures may be varied.
