Abstract

165,354. Borroughs, J. N. Aug. 12, 1920. Roll holders and cases.-A towel-holder comprises a casing 1 carrying a removable roller 8 upon which is wound a long towel 35 so arranged that a loop 36 of the towel passes through a slot 29 in a door 2 of the casing. The used portion of the towel is. drawn back into the casing and discharged into the bottom of the receptacle by means of a take-up roller 15 geared to the roller 8 so that it tends to take up the towel quicker than it is let off from the roller 8. A spring-pressed roller 22 presses the towel against the roller 15 in such a manner as to allow slip when desired. A guide roller 30 projects through the slot 29 and is mounted on brackets 28 fixed to the body of the casing 1. Arms 25 project into annular grooves in the roller 15 and prevent the towel from winding round the roller.
