Rectilinear-motion bearings.-A guide and extension slide for drawers &c. comprises a bearer 2 fixed to the casing and supporting on ball bearings a bearer 4 to which is secured a bearer 5 supporting on ball bearings 6 an extension slide 7. Stops are provided for limiting the travel of the balls, and buffers 4b, 2b, 4<c> on the slides to cushion the inward and outward movements of the drawers. The drawer is supported on the extension slides by plates 9, 13 secured thereto which engage respectively bent portions 11, 12, and 14, 16 of the extension slides 7 so as to be removable therefrom but accurately positioned.
